Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, has called on the newly recruited officers of the Command to ensure professionalism in the discharge of their duties. 

NSCDC Commandant in Oyo state, Mr. Micheal Adaralewa stated this during a passing out parade of the one hundred and thirty-five 2019 newly recruited officers. 

Mr Adaralewa said the first phase of the training which commenced nationwide was designed to build the capacity of recruits in the areas of discipline, resilience, tactical maneuvers, crowd dispersal, raids, intelligence gathering, Counter-Terrorism, insurgency, and Peace and Conflict Resolution. 

“To ensure professionalism,  the new trainees had gone through training in the principles of internal security,  doctrines of internal security,  fundamental human right, administration of criminal justice, interagency collaboration  public relations, and other fundamental training that will assist in the community-friendly discharge of their duties”

“The passing out parade of today is not an end to training for the recruits but rather the commencement of another phase”. “

“They will be deployed immediately to various area Command offices, divisions, departments, and unit rotational to learn further on the job after which they shall proceed for another extensive and intensive training college across the nation”.

The NSCDC boss in Oyo state stated further that with the training and retraining of the new recruits and officers, the Command would step up the protection of lives and property of every citizen in the state. 

He added that NSCDC would remain committed to working with other sister agencies and security stakeholders to maintain a crime-free society.
