The Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal has commended Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the free and credible governorship election.
Oba Lawal gave the commendation while speaking with Radio Nigeria at his palace in Ede.
The Monarch who expressed satisfaction at the result said the people now have confidence in the nation’s electoral process noting that the will of the people matters and must be respected in a democracy.
He advised the winner of the election to be magnanimous in victory and focus on ensuring more developmental projects in Osun State.
The Monarch urged all candidates who participated in the election to work together for the development of the state.
Oba Lawal commended residents of Osun state for voting for the Governor-Elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke who is an indigene of Ede, adding that the people have shown their love and confidence for the winner.
