A nongovernmental organization, “The integrity Youths of Ibadanland known as Eni Iyi Ni Wa” has called for more support for youths to give them ample opportunities in governance.

The president of the integrity youths of Ibadanland, Mr Wasiu Ojekunle made the call during a media advocacy and courtesy visit to the Management of Radio Nigeria Ibadan Zonal Station.

Mr Oyekunle implored various educational institutions, religious leaders and civil societies to synergize potent ways to tackle the problems of insecurity and youth unemployment in the country.

Mr  Ojekunle commended Radio Nigeria Ibadan Zonal Station for its objective reportage in line with its motto ‘Uplifting the people and Uniting the nation’. 

The president stressed that the association would collaborate with Radio Nigeria to promote and protect the interest of Ibadan land and Nigeria in general.

”  To call for support of we youths of Ibadan land that we have an idea to research with you to find a lasting solution to the issue at hand. Good leadership will give us good governance and good governance will make the youths to be very useful to their society.””

In a welcome address, the  Zonal Director, Radio Nigeria Ibadan, Mrs Bolatito Joseph appreciated the Eni Iyi Niwa youths for recognizing the station for its optimal performance in information dissemination. 

Mrs Joseph, who attributed problems of insecurity confronting the nation to social vices among youths, advised youths on being good ambassadors of the country before calling for good governance.

“Some youtsh that are supposed to hold leadership positions are engaged in 419, they are the ones doing Yahoo and Yahoo plus such people will blame unemployment on the reason for their engaging in Yahoo plus where they kill people, it is not enough reasons for anybody to go into such acts.”

Contributing, the General Manager, Premier FM,  Alhaji Bashir Omotoso enjoined members of the organization to go back to their different homes to educate youths to be patriotic Nigerians and shun evil acts that might jeopardize their future.  

The visit was attended by members of the Committee of Management.
