Every Christians should always be mindful of eternity through life worthy of emulation.
The Provost, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Ibadan South Diocese, The Very Reverend Akin Ayinla stated this during the funeral service of The Venerable Issac Oyebanji Adewoye held at the Cathedral of Saint David, Kudeti, Ibadan.
In a sermon titled “Where Will It Meet You”, The Very Reverend Ayinla explained that death could strike anytime, hence the need for Christians to hold onto the Lord and desist from any evil act.
He described the Venerable Adewoye popularly known as ‘Baba Christ’ as a man who dedicated his life to Jesus Christ and expressed optimism that he is resting with the lord.
One of the children of the deceased, Mrs Olufunke Faniran, who is the wife of Deputy Director News in Radio Nigeria Ibadan Zonal Station, Mr Adewumi Faniran, described her Father as loving, caring who taught them the ways of Christ and would be missed.
One of the members of the church, The Reverend Oladapo Bolarinwa also described The Venerable Adewoye as a humble man and lovely father to all in the ministry.
Highlights of the event were thanksgiving, and prayer offered to the immediate family of the deceased.
