The newly deployed Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone11 Command Osogbo, Comprises Oyo and Osun States Commands, Mrs Cookey Christy Ibiso has pledged to motivate officers and men of the police force to secure their jurisdiction effectively.

She also promised to introduce a visible and community approach to policing the zone.

The new AIG made the pledge while addressing officers and men of the force at the Zone 11 headquarters in Osogbo, Osun State.

A statement by the Zonal Public Relations Officer, Mr Benjamin Ayeni says that until her elevation to the position of Assistant Inspector General of Police and redeployment to Zone 11, she was the Commissioner in charge of Welfare at the DFA office, force headquarters, Abuja.

AIG Cookey Christy Ibiso enlisted into the Nigeria police in 1988 after her education at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State where she bagged a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication.

She obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of Portharcourt, and she capped it up with a Master’s Degree in Educational Management at the University of Science and Technology Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

She attended both local and international professional courses which includes and had served in various capacities and commands of the police before her present engagement.
