Nigeria police and other security agencies in Ogun state have promised to provide adequate security for residents and motorists passing through the state before, during and after Yuletide.
The State Commissioner of Police Mr Lanre Bankole stated this while speaking with newsmen after a security meeting with Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The commissioner explained that all security agencies in the state had made necessary arrangements to protect lives and property across the state.
He said that the state government had promised to give more support to the security agencies towards combating kidnappers and other criminals at the state corridor of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Mr Bankole also pointed out that, the meeting was convened to discuss current security issues affecting the state with a view to strengthening security architecture in the state.
