Some traders at Araromi Spare Parts Market, Agodi, Ibadan are counting their losses after their shops got razed and property worth more than thirty million got destroyed.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire started at about  2 am  Saturday morning, burning down the shops before the arrival of Fire service men.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria, two of the affected traders, Mr Hassan Olanrewaju, a welder, and Mrs Ibikunle Yetunde, who sells drinks, explained that they were shocked when informed about the ugly incident, lamenting that their shops got burnt before their arrival.

Another trader at the market, Mr Dapo while bemoaning his loss, noted that the items in his shop were purchased from loans he obtained.

The traders appealed to the government to urgently come to their aid, as their shops were their only means of livelihood.
