Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to comply with the electoral guideline by electronically transmitting the results of the Presidential election.

The former president in a statement in Abeokuta said the inability of the commission to transmit results electronically according to the electoral guideline would raise suspicion of manipulation of the results.

Chief Obasanjo who appealed to the INEC chairman to address the issues also called for the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari to enable a credible and acceptable election.

The former president also advised Nigerians to remain calm and be optimistic that the issues would be rectified by the relevant authorities.
