The Oyo State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Commandant, NSCDC, Michael Adaralewa, has joined other stakeholders in the celebration of the International Civil Defence Organisation Day.
International Civil Defence Organisation Day is Celebrated on the 1st of March Every Year.
Speaking on behalf of the Commandant, the State Public Relation Officer, DSC Oyindamola Okuneye, described this year’s theme as a concept that seeks to alert us on the need to harness the dynamics and evolution in Information technology in the prevention or mitigation of any occurrence that may have a negative impact on lives and property.
The Commandant further emphasized the need to incorporate Information technology (IT) and Risk assessment as key components into the processes and Governance structure of any organization.
He called on the good people of Oyo State, corporate organisations and Governmental institutions to key into the rapid advancement in Information technology in achieving safety and protection against potential threats at all times.
The State Commandant congratulates the Commandant, General Dr Abubakar Audi Ofr, mni and the entire management and staff of the Corps on the occasion of the 2023 International Civil Defence day and prayed for grace to witness many more years of celebration.
