Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke says one of the key components to eliminate poverty is to make access to safe and potable water easy.

Senator Adeleke stated this at the commissioning of the Water Project at Oba- Oke and Oba- Ile  Communities in Olorunda Local Government, facilitated by Osun Community and Social Development Agency, OSUN CSDA, under Osun COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus, Osun Cares.

The Governor represented by his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi said individuals and the community at large need water to stay physically healthy and to prevent diseases caused by a lack of clean, portable and drinkable water.

The Osun State helmsman who explained that when water supplies are improved it will enhance Community Economic growth admonished the beneficiaries to maintain and sustain the project for maximum impact.

In a remark, the Coordinating Director Ministry of rural communities, Mr Segun Ogunrinlade represented by Mrs. Bola Obiremi commended the Osun Community and Social Development Agency, CSDA striving towards the success of the various micro projects. 

Earlier in an address of welcome, General Manager, Osun Community and Social Development Agency, OSUN CSDA, Mrs Funmi Abokede emphasized that Senator Ademola Adeleke was keen to improve the quality of life of Residents by embarking on various infrastructural development.

Mrs Abokede Stated that, there is a Community Project Management Committee, CPMC, which is saddled to ensure proper use and maintenance of the Boreholes to serve as long services to the People living in the Communities.
