A financial expert, Prince Oyebade Oyedepo says the federal government must not remove the subsidy on petroleum products for now as it will further impoverish the common masses.

Prince Oyedepo made this known during the launch of his book titled, “Handbook on Contemporary Issues for Managers, Professionals and Students” Volume 2 in Ibadan.

The author who is a past chairman of Ibadan and District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN, and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, CITN, noted that the country does not have the infrastructural backing to cushion the effect of the removal of subsidy.

He encouraged the youths to imbibe the reading culture which is fast dwindling, as that was the best way for them to excel.

The book reviewer who is a consultant, Dr Folake Saba maintained that the masterpiece would be of immense help to those seeking entrepreneurial guidelines for a successful business.

In his remark, a friend of the author who is also the Deputy Director Finance, FRCN Ibadan National Station, Mr James Amole while imploring anyone seeking knowledge to get the book, explained that the author had always been passionate about imparting knowledge to society.

Highlights of the event were the unveiling of the book and its launch by family, friends and associates.
