Regular dialogue and consultation among farmers, herders, and other stakeholders is the key to enhancing food security and peace in farming communities in Oyo State.

This was part of the consensus reached by a forum in Oyo Town, attended by Fulani Cattle breeders, Yoruba farmers, security agencies, and the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN.

While thanking Governor Seyi Makinde for his efforts on sustainable security in the state, Alhaji Bello called for the provision of drinkable water to Fulani communities across the state.

Another stakeholder, Comrade Sunday Olajide reiterated the need for unity among cattle breeders and synergy among the security agencies for the sake of peace and food security in Oyo State.
