The Oyo State Fire Service has confirmed the death of one Rotimi Adigun popularly known as “Bintin” of Sunsun area, Ogbomoso
Confirming the death to Radio Nigeria, Ogbomoso Sector Command of Oyo state Fire service, Mr. Oluwaseyi Awoyemi said Rotimi Adigun was chasing a fleeing student who was found loitering during school hours.
He said in the process Adigun fell into the Ora River and could not be rescued by passersby.
Mr. Awoyemi noted that with the combined efforts of the Oyo state fire service and police officers, his corpse was evacuated this morning after several hours.
Sympathizers who spoke with Radio Nigeria said that Bintin was a local hunter who was known for chasing students who loiter around Sunsun, Ogbomoso during school hours as part of his social responsibility.
As at the time of filing this report, his corpse had been deposited in a private morgue in Ogbomoso.
