Due process, best practices shall be hallmark of projects – Osun Govt.

By Funmi Adekoya

Osun State Government has assured the public that its projects design and procurement activities comply with best practices, due process and project management norms.

This is just as the government clarified that the statewide borehole projects will be equipped with generating sets before commissioning for public use.

In a statement by Governor’s Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the Government explained that its choice of projects across the sectors follows its avowed principles of grassroots development, local infrastructure agenda, peoples’ first philosophy and urgency of local-state connectivity.

The government affirmed that the current projects were being professionally executed and delivered as can be attested to by the Ikirun-Osogbo road, several local roads, culverts, bridges, and boreholes among others.

The government dispels the insinuations by some people that the borehole water project has failed, however, assured that the project is successful in many ways as the government is in the process of purchasing generating sets to power them.

“A 30 local government survey plus the area office would show that contrary to reports, the water project has not failed and a check with the relevant government offices would have corrected misinformation being peddled around. As of today, our people at the local level are enjoying these boreholes even before it was fully commissioned”.

The state government noted that at “Ipade Imole”, the town hall meeting with Governor, the Osun people and all stakeholders would have all official information that will reconfirm that the present administration is a government of due process and rule of law.
