The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Osun State Command has arrested seventeen persons, fourteen males, and three females during its mop-up operation in the state. 

The operation which lasted four days was held at Sabo Area of Ilesa where hoodlums engaged the officers in a gun duel.

The hoodlums after the arrest were caught with different types of drugs, which included cannabis sativa, Tramadol Diazepam and other dangerous drugs which were discretely put on sale at Sabo and Atakumosa Markets in Ilesa, Osun State.

In another raid at Araromi Oke- Odo in Ife South local government, a team of operatives led by Odigie Charles Efosa arrested one Adewole Abidemi with dried weeds suspected to be cannabis sativa weighing 75kg.

The team also raided some joints in Iwo, Ila, Ikirun, Ejigbo & Iragbiji where many suspects were arrested.

Speaking on the development, the Osun State Commander of NDLEA, Chidi Nnadi commended efforts of his officers and warned drug barons iand Peddlers to stop their illegal business or be ready to go to jail..

He noted that the agency would not stop in its efforts at ridding the state of drug barons and peddlers.

The Osun NDLEA boss advised drug dealers to relocate from Osun State, as the heat will be too hot for them to bear.
