Mr Olakunle Oluomo has been reelected as the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The sitting of the House followed the proclamation letter issued by Governor Dapo Abiodun for the inauguration of the tenth Assembly session.

The reelected Speaker, representing Ifo II State Constituency was unopposed as well as Mrs Bolanle Ajayi of Yewa South State Constituency was elected as the Deputy Speaker.

Mr Oluomo’s was nominated for the post by Mr Musefiu Lamidi of Ado-Odo/Ota II state Constituency and was seconded by Mr Ifedolapo Owode of Ijebu-East State Constituency.

The Clerk of the House, Mr Deji Adeyemo had earlier read the Governor’s proclamation of the Governor before the commencement of the session.

The Speaker, Mr Oluomo in his acceptance speech assured that he would run the affairs of the House with fairness, equity, and justice for the benefit of the State.

The Assembly at the first sitting passed four Resolutions before adjournment.
