“Bend Down” Boutique Sales Booms as Economy Bites Harder

Nigerians are a class of people who have always found a way out of every situation to meet their basic needs in life.

Based on this purchase of fairly used clothes has been a usual practice for many Nigerians thereby visiting the popularly called “Okrika market” to spice up their wardrobes.

Readily available in this market are different clothing materials for all categories of people: male female, either young or old and children.

With the current economic challenges posed by the removal of fuel subsidy, more people are now patronizing the market.

For instance at Dugbe Alawo area of Ibadan the Traders who spoke with Radio Nigeria Correspondent said more customers throng the Market to buy fairly used clothes, a  development which gave the traders great joy.

Some of the Traders including Mr Olusegun Ajayi, Sandra Eze, Ishola Uthman said customers opted for fairly used Clothes due to Its Affordability and current economic situation.

The Traders however called on government to tackle the soaring exchange rate to save their Businesses.
