Nine prospective commissioners have been screened by the Ogun State House of Assembly, OGHA, with a charge on them to redouble efforts at enhancing the state’s prosperity, if they eventually joined Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration.

OGHA Speaker, Mr Olakunle Oluomo who gave the charge also urged the commissioner-nominees to be prepared for the task of helping the government to deploy technology towards addressing human challenges, especially in the areas of insecurity, food deficit, transportation constraints and waste management. 

Mr Oluomo said the state required committed hands with the capacity to tap into its comparative advantage as the Gateway State and industrial hub to create more employment opportunities for the people, particularly, the teeming youths.

In separate responses, the nominees promised to bring their expertise and experiences to bear on the implementation of the development agenda of Governor Dapo Abiodun who nominated them to serve in his cabinet and expressed their readiness to effectively tackle the emerging issues confronting the people.

Nine, out of the governor’s ten nominees that appeared for the screening included former cabinet members, Mrs Adijat Adeleye-Oladapo, Mrs Olufemi Ilori-Oduntan, Mr Oladimeji Oresanya, and Mr Olugbenga Dairo.

Others were Mr Shofela Emmanuel, Mr Bolu Owootomo, Mr Balogun Ademola, Mr Osunbiyi Tunde, and Mr Fagbayi Sesan.
