Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described the Supreme Court verdict, which upheld the victory of President Bola Tinubu against the petitions of the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party as a watershed and a moment of joy for all Nigerians.

Governor Abiodun, in a statement, described the judgement as rooted in law and praised the judiciary for standing by the truth at all times.

The governor said it was a victory for all Nigerians that came at a time when President Tinubu’s policies aimed at lifting Nigeria out of the harsh time were beginning to take shape.

Meanwhile, a political analyst in the state, Mr Akeem Bashorun has urged  President Bola Tinubu and his cabinet to put the election matters and the attendant judicial tussle behind them to focus on the delivery of good governance to Nigerians.

Mr Bashorun expressed the hope that more effort would be geared towards making the country more conducive to the fulfilment of the campaign promises made to the people by politicians during the general elections.

Other residents of Abeokuta who reacted to the Supreme Court judgment also appealed to the president to expedite action on policies and programmes that would bring desired changes to the nation’s economy.
