As part of efforts to secure lives and property of residents in Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke has announced the establishment of a State Security Trust Fund.

In a statement by the Governor”s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed in Osogbo, the Governor directed a five member committee to work out the modalities for the quick take off of the fund in response to logistic and operational needs of the various security services.

Governor Adeleke said the fund would operate on a public-private Partnership model in collaboration with corporate organizations, business communities, industrialists and critical stakeholders.

According to him, the committee would include members of the security services with a view to proffering solutions to security challenges facing the state, while the Organised Private Sector will also be included to serve as a vehicle to institutionalize an enduring public private partnership approach to the resource problems of security institutions.

Governor Adeleke who commended security operatives for their efforts in safeguarding lives and property in the State noted that he recently discussed close partnership with the Inspector General of Police in Abuja.
