The embattled chairman of the main political opposition in Ondo State, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Fatai Adams is dead.
He was reported dead in the early hours of Wednesday.
Ondo State PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr Kennedy Peretei while confirming the demise said the party’s state working committee was convening an emergency meeting and would make a statement on the matter soon.
Adams, a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, ODHA, was suspended by the State Executive Committee of the party in January this year.
The Vice Chairman of Ondo State PDP, Mr Tola Alabere was then appointed as the acting chairman of the party.
The late Adams would be buried in his hometown of Irun in Akoko Northwest Local Government Area of the state later on Wednesday evening (14-02-2024) according to Islamic injunction.
