Osun State House of Assembly wants the office of Surveyor – General of the State to design a template aimed to differentiate Survey payments for towns and villages.

The Chairman, House Committee on Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development , Mr. Lawrence Adeoti made the call during a maiden meeting with officials of Surveyor General Office and surveyors officers across the Local Government in the State.

Mr. Adeoti noted that Survey fares given to Urban areas should be differ from local areas, in order to curb inadequacy.

The Chairman, House Committee on Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development  called on the Surveyor- General office to organized seminars and sensitization for staffs to improve their skills and emphasize need for periodic sensitization for members of the public on the implications of land without survey plan.

In their separate contributions, other Members of the Committee urged the Survey General office to curb the activity of fake surveyors in the State.

They also directed the officials to improve on Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, to boost the Economy of the State.

Earlier in his remarks, The State Surveyor – General, Surveyor Soladoye Ayodele used the opportunity to showcase the challenges affecting the Survey activities in the State and sought support of the State House of Assembly.

Other members of the committee present at the event included, Mr. Abiola Ibrahim, Mr. Kofoworola Babajide,Mr Elisha Oderinwale, Mr. Oladimeji Adekunle.
