The Headquarters, 2 Division Nigerian Army, NA, is set to conduct a screening and verification exercise for children of deceased personnel who died in active service for NA education sponsorship 2023/2024 session.
This is contained in a statement signed in Ibadan by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 2 Division Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Colonel Polycarp Okoye.
The statement indicates that, the Nigerian army is conducting similar exercises across other geopolitical zones of the nation.
It notes that, the exercise is aimed at supporting the children of deceased personnel who passed on while serving the nation by providing the necessary opportunity to further their education.
According to the statement, the screening and verification exercise for 2 Division Area of Responsibility, AOR, is scheduled to take place at Major General JM Inienger Sports Complex, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ibadan, between tomorrow and friday.
It adds that, the time for commencement of the exercise is 8 O’clock in the morning daily.
