Federal and State governments have been called upon to urgently address the security crises posing impediments to the progress of Nigeria.

The cleric in charge, Methodist Church Nigeria, Eko tedo, Ibadan, Very Reverend Solomon Ogunyebo stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria.

 Very Reverend Ogunyebo who explained that the security of citizens forms of one the crucial responsibilities of government to the people noted that insecurity when allowed to drag on could trigger hunger and economic retrogression as economic actors would be incapacitated to drive the economy.

The cleric, while emphasizing the need for the Oyo State government to be sensitive to the distress call of some communities in Oke Ogun over the presence of some strange individuals, said the government should fortify the security agencies in the state to adequately confront the monster.

Very Reverend Ogunyebo noted that Nigerians should continue to persevere despite the economic challenges, and intensify prayers for the country.

He expressed optimism that Nigeria will in the near future be a country to be reckoned with in the comity of nations
