Parents and Guardians have been advised to give more attention to their Children and Wards, for transparency and expression of minds between the two parties.
The District Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, Ori Oke Aanu Ojoo Ibadan, Oyo State, Pastor Isaiah O. Alade gave the advice while speaking with Radio Nigeria, Ibadan on this year’s Children’s Day Celebration.
Pastor Alade said, Children are God’s Heritage, committed to the hands of their parents who needed to support and teach them in the way of the Lord for them to be useful to the family and the society at large.
The cleric who condemned the act of parents not taking patience to listen to their children while willing to discuss issues bothering them, said, such had made some children to take wrong steps in the journey of life.
He called on the children to obey their parents and draw closer to God who is the always ready to show them Mercy at all times.
Pastor Alade, also enjoined Government to prioritize the welfare and rights of Nigerian Children by protecting them against abuse, trafficking, sexual molestation and child labour.
He prayed that God’s knowledge, wisdom and understanding will continue to be on the Children as they marked this year’s Day.
