Following the inauguration of Comrade Omolola Alamu as the Chairperson of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Oyo State chapter, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, FRCN Chapel, has sent a message to felicitate with the association.
In a statement jointly signed by the NUJ Chairman, Mr Oluwakayode Banjo and Secretary, Mr Opeyemi Olugbenga, the chapel expressed delight at the emergence of Mrs Alamu, who they described as a thorough bred journalist that would oversea the affairs of the association.
The Chapel commended Comrade Alamu’s doggedness, perseverance and tenacity in her aspiration to lead the association, charging her to use her wealth of experience to reposition Oyo NAWOJ to an enviable height.
Comrade Alamu, a staff of Radio Nigeria Ibadan and dedicated member of the chapel, was inaugurated on Monday alongside other executives at the Dapo Aderogba hall, NUJ press centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
