Ogun State House of Assembly has held a special plenary to commemorate its first year of inauguration with a resolve to pursue more people – oriented legislations and facilitation of projects that will have direct positive impact on their lives.

The Assembly members led by the Speaker, Mr Oludaisi Elemide gave the assurance during the special plenary attended by many dignitaries and former Speakers of the House, including Basorun Muyiwa Oladipo, Mrs Titi Sodunke- Gomez, Mr Tunji Egbetokun and Mr Suraju Adekunbi.

Mr Elemide pointed out that seven bills, affecting the day- to -day running of government, including the yearly appropriation bill had been passed into laws with seven others were at various stages of legislative process and more than 24 motions were passed into resolutions.

In separate remarks, some of the lawmakers commended the executive arm for not interfering in legislative oversights and also applauded the leadership style of Mr Elemide for providing qualitative leadership to reposition the assembly for laudable achievements within a short time.

In the same vein, former Speakers of the Assembly while addressing the plenary commended the executive arm for providing the conducive atmosphere for the lawmakers to perform their duties and commended the lawmakers for their continuous efforts to give quality representation to the people.
