Osun State governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has called on leaders of thought to rally around his administration in its efforts to enthrone good governance.
Governor Adeleke who made the call at the 2025 annual Inter-Religious Prayer to begin the activities for the year 2025 at the Governor’s Office parking lot, Abere, Osun State, said in 2025 and beyond, his government would not be found wanting in service delivery.
“I stand before you today to declare that we will not abandon the path of God. We will continue to serve the people diligently and faithfully. Genuine service to the people to us is a strong way to worship God. We will continue to pursue pro-people policies and programmes. We will not abuse state power. Rather we will deploy instruments of state to develop the people and our dear state”, He promised.

While appreciating the religious and traditional rulers for their prayer and support, the governor urged them to be his representatives among the people to let people at the grassroots know that his government is ever dedicated to serving the people.
“The state cares for the young, the old, women, youth and children will continue on a strong note. I repeat again that soft infrastructure will top the state agenda alongside ongoing hard infrastructure upgrades across the state.”
“This call flows from what all stakeholders can attest to. We have shown good faith as a government acting beyond partisan considerations. The best interest of Osun State has continued to be our guiding principle. We need all hands to be on deck”, the governor stressed.
Governor Adeleke charged the people of the state not to relent in prayers for successful governance just as he promised to continue to uphold basic tenets of democracy, due process and the fear of God in all that he does.
While soliciting the prayers and guidance of royal fathers and religious leaders, the governor said he believed that with God and people, the state government would achieve its lofty goals and agenda.
Earlier in a message, Dr Musibaudeen Orimadegun from Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State, charged those in the position of authority to live a righteous life and work hard to reduce the poverty level to the barest minimum.
Dr Orimadegun admonished the youth to participate in the forthcoming local government election, urging them not to allow themselves to be used as political thugs during the poll.
Also in a short exhortation, the Secretary, Osun State Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Canon Ebenezer Fameewo urged the governor to continue his good deeds, while also advising political and government officials to work with the fear of God.
In a remark, the Osun State Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo commended the governor for his worker-friendly policies, prompt payment of salaries and implementation of the new minimum wage.
Prayers were offered to God for the governor, state government, workers and the state in general for a great 2025.
