OSACA Assures People Living with HIV/AIDs of Continuos Support

The Executive Secretary of the Osun State Agency for the Control of AIDS, OSACA, Mr. Olusegun Daramola has reassured people living with HIV/AIDS that their health and well-being would be a priority.

Mr. Daramola gave the assurance in a statement made available to Newsmen in Osogbo, this is against the backdrop of the recent announcement by United States President, Mr. Donald Trump of plans to withdraw American’ s support for Nigerians living with HIV/AIDS.

He explains that necessary steps are being taken to ensure continued access to essential healthcare services for individuals living with the disease.

Mr. Daramola says: “We understand that the recent withdrawal of support by PEPFAR may have caused concern and uncertainty about your care and treatment. Please be assured that you are not alone. Your health and well-being remain our top priority.”

“Under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Osun State Government, in collaboration with partners, agencies, and stakeholders, is working tirelessly to bridge any gaps left by PEPFAR’s withdrawal” He added.

He stresses that the Agency is exploring all available resources to strengthen healthcare services and mobilize community support to ensure uninterrupted access to essential care.

The OSACA Boss urges people living with HIV/AIDS in the state to remain calm, adhere to their prescribed regimen, attend scheduled clinic visits, and reach out to healthcare providers when the need arises.
