A renowned monarch, the Alaperu of Iperu-Remo, Ogun State, Oba Adeleke Adelekan Idowu-Basibo has joined his ancestors.
The monarch’s demise was met with an outpouring of tributes and condolences from the people of Iperu-Remo and beyond, who remembered him for his selfless service and dedication to the well-being of his people.
Announcing his death, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, described the transition of the Alaperu of Iperu-Remo, as a deeply shocking, irreplaceable personal loss.
Governor Abiodun, a prince of the Iperu-Remo kingdom, added that, even though he was still trying to come to terms with the news of the royal father’s passing, he acknowledged the immutability of Almighty God’s counsel.
Governor Abiodun, who described the late monarch as a royal father, friend and confidant, said he was devastated to learn of the sudden passing of the highly distinguished, revered and beloved traditional ruler whose reign brought peace and prosperity to Iperu-Remo kingdom, Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.
