Amotekun Apprehends 16 Commercial Sex Workers

The Ogun State Security Network Agency, code-named Amotekun Corps has apprehended 16 commercial sex workers, including underaged persons suspected to be victims of sexual exploitation. 

The State commandant of the Corps, Mr Alade Adedigba, told journalists in Abeokuta that the female youths between the ages of 12 and 29 years were rounded up at the Railway Line Hotel, located along Old Bank Road in Ifo area of the state following the concerns raised by some residents who noticed suspicious activities at the hotel. 

Mr Adedigba said the Amotekun security agents in the Ifo Council Area were deployed to the scene in the early hours of Wednesday, leading to the discovery of underaged sex workers. 

The State Amotekun Commandant pointed out that 14 of the girls were trafficked from Akwa Ibom State, with the other two from Cross River and Delta States, adding that further investigations were ongoing over the incident.
