Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has directed immediate action on letters of appointment to new teachers.
Governor Adeleke gave the directive during the State Executive council meeting in Osogbo.
In a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Public Orientation, Chief Kolapo Alimi, the governor vowed that he would not be swayed from the path of selfless service to Osun people.
Governor Adeleke noted that all efforts by detractors to distract his government from continuous delivery of good governance to Osun people have failed.
“A vicious, anti-democratic campaign was launched against our government. Osun was under siege in a manner nobody ever envisaged.
“But we survived the evil and offensive onslaught. We overcame forces of darkness that sought to impose anarchy on us. Our adversaries failed in their bid to plunge Osun into a killing field. With divine wisdom and mass support of our people, we retain and even consolidate our hold on the state.
The Governor informed the cabinet that his administration has taken major steps to hold accountable, officials of the previous administration, noting that the public was awash with infractions and procurement corruptions witnessed under the last government.
While commending members of his cabinet for rising against the opposition forces that sought to derail his administration, Governor Adeleke urged them to continue to pay attention to due process.
“We must never succumb to the plot to distract us. We should continue to deliver on the five point agenda of this administration. We must complete all ongoing projects and launch new ones to spread democratic dividends to all corners of our state.
Governor Adeleke added that he was set to unveil the 2025 infra project implementation plan and timelines tomorrow, as well as commence statewide inspections and commissioning of ongoing and completed infra projects.
