Founder, Shafaudeen in Islam,worldwide,Professor Sabit Olagoke has called on leaders at all levels to make self sacrifice a priority, in making life comfortable for their followers as preached during the holy month of Ramadan.
Professor Olagoke stated this while delivering a lecture titled,lessons from the holy month of Ramadan,the actualization technique,at the maiden, Nigeria Union of journalists, NUJ,FRCN chapel 2025 Ramadan lecture held at studio one of the corporation.
He stressed the need for leaders to always embark on self evaluation of their spiritual life to discover if they were toeing the right path.
The Professor maintained that, the holy month of Ramadan was not a period of fun for adherent but a time for sober reflection and serious spiritual exercise for muslims.
He urged muslims to learn from the prophets of God who were the building blocks of Islam and synergize with believers of other faith as all are facing the same challenges of life.
The cleric admonished the faithful to tolerate Nigerians of other religion as the country could only develop in an atmosphere of peace.
In a remark, Zonal Director FRCN,Ibadan, Mr Dominic Mokikan represented by the Head of Station, Asabari FM, Saki, Alhaji Nafiu Busari noted that FRCN would continue to organise programmes that would strengthen unity and peace in the country.
Mr Mokikan advised the people to be steadfast in prayers as government was doing its best to move the nation out of the current economic challenges.
In a welcome address, Chairman NUJ,FRCN Chapel,Mr Oluwakayode Banjo noted that the union would not relent on preaching religious tolerance to solidify the bond amongst citizens.
Mr Banjo maintained that NUJ,FRCN Chapel would continue to be at the forefront of religious tolerance in the country.
Highlight of the event was the recitation of Quran by Abdurahman Adetunji.
Dignitaries at the event included,executive chairman,Oyo Subeb,Dr Nureni Adeniran,Chairman, NUJ,Oyo State Council, Alhaji Demola Babalola, Alhaji Musedik Salaam, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde,Alhaja Simiat Olagoke ,representative of member representing Oluyole constituency at the house of Representatives,Mrs Tolulope Akande-Sadipe and Deputy Director News and current affairs, Mr Adewunmi Faniran.
