The Nigerian Customs Service has sought greater synergy with the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, to protect the nation’s borders.
The Area Controller of the Nigerian Customs Service, Oyo/Osun Command, Comptroller Joseph Adelaja, made this known when he paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Oyo state command in Ibadan.
Comptroller Adelaja commended the NSCDC’s dedication to safeguarding national assets and maintaining peace and security.
He said the visit aimed to reaffirm and strengthen the existing collaboration between the Nigerian Customs Service and the NSCDC and also acknowledged the NSCDC’s efforts at securing the nation’s borders.
Responding, the Oyo State Commandant of the NSCDC, Ayodeji Pandonu, appreciated the visit and reiterated the cordial relationship between the two agencies.
Mr Pandonu gave the assurance that the Nigerian Customs Service, Oyo/Osun Command, would leverage on existing relationship between both agencies.
