Osun Plans to Upgrade Primary Healthcare Centres

As part of efforts to improve healthcare services and infrastructure, Osun state is to embark on a new round of renovation and upgrading of primary health centres across the state.

The state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke made this known during an inspection of newly renovated primary healthcare centres at Telemu, Ola Oluwa Local Government and Ido-Osun in Egbedore Local Government of the state.

Speaking at Telemu, the governor said he was happy with the clean environment in and around the health centre and the prompt attention the people are receiving from medical personnel.

“I am glad that our people are now benefitting from the outcome of the upgrade and renovation of the health centres. I assure Osun people that we will not relent on the upgrade of our health facilities”.

Governor Adeleke said a new round of renovation and upgrading of primary health centres is to start soon as announced at a recent unveiling of N159 billion infra projects.

“Our strategy is to deepen health care access at the local level. We seek to keep our people healthy from the lowest level. When they have easy access, health questions can be addressed before they degenerate.

“We plan to address all levels of health services from primary to secondary and tertiary levels. We have recorded big marks from the primary health care level. We proceed to address the health sector holistically”, he told the Ido Osun people.

The Governor who received a rousing welcome from the leaders and people of Telemu in Olaoluwa local government also visited Ido-Osun where the Olojudo of Ido Osun, Oba Olayinka Jokotola commended the good governance of the Adeleke administration.

“Before you renovated this health centre, it was in shambles with running down facilities. Now it is rebranded with solar and water facilities. We appreciate you and your governance team. Our people of Ido Osun stand by you now and in the future”, the royal father stated.

Senator Adeleke was accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye and members of the State Executive Council.
