Abiodun’s Aide Advocates Water Conservation

Ogun State government says it is promoting water conservation practices and sustainable water management strategies among the residents to mitigate the alarming depletion rate of the natural substance. 

Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs and Water Resources, Engineer Damilola Otubanjo stated this in Abeokuta while speaking with newsmen in commemoration of this year’s World Water Day. 

Engineer Otubanjo maintained that responsible water use would reduce wastages and ensure long-term availability of the resources as being canvassed by the global society in line with the World Water Day theme, ”Glacier Preservation”.

She gave the assurance that the government was diligently working to address the challenges of water scarcity in the state. 

The Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs and Water Resources emphasized that the ongoing maintenance efforts would significantly improve water supply and reduce the burden on residents, particularly in rural communities.
