Gov. Adeleke Relaxes Curfew in Osun Communities

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has directed relaxation of the 24-hour curfew in Ifon, Ilobu and Erin Osun communities.

A statement by Governor’s Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, said the curfew which is now 17 hours, would commence from two o clock in the afternoon to seven o clock in the morning.

The relaxation of the curfew is to take effect from today, Friday, 28th March, 2025.

The statement said further that the governor took the decision to alleviate the suffering of residents of the three towns and provide an opportunity for them to attend to their immediate needs.

While commending the cessation of hostility, Governor Adeleke however expressed dissatisfaction with the report of another killing in which the police have made an arrest.

He warned that anybody or group of persons, caught masterminding any violent act would face the consequences.

Governor Adeleke, while urging the joint security taskforce to maintain the 24-hour surveillance in the communities, to forestall any act of lawlessness, directed the state emergency agency to intensify support services for those displaced as a result of the communal crisis.
