The Nigeria Police Force, Oyo state Command , has announced implementation of comprehensive security measures to ensure a peaceful Eid-El-Fitr celebration.
A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer , Adewale Oshifeso says the Command will focus on places of worship, recreation centers, public areas, correctional facilities, media organizations, and all entry and exit points within and around the State.
The statement also says the Commissioner of Police, Johnson Adenola, has directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Heads of Tactical Teams to lead security operations within their areas of jurisdiction.
These operations according to the release will involve intelligence-led motorized patrols, rigorous stop-and-search efforts, surveillance routines, and targeted raids aimed at combating criminal activities.
The Command urges the general public to report any suspicious occurrences to the nearest station close to them.
