Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has extended heartfelt farewell wishes to the 2025 pilgrims journeying to the Holy Land of Makkah and Madinah.

Speaking at the farewell ceremony organized by the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Governor described the Hajj as a sacred duty and a profound spiritual journey that demands devotion, discipline, and unity.

Governor Adeleke, while expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting life and good health to the pilgrims,  emphasized that the pilgrimage is more than a physical journey as it is an act of worship and a powerful symbol of faith.

The Governor urged the pilgrims to represent the state with dignity, noting that they carry not only their personal hopes but the prayers of an entire state.

As ambassadors of Osun State, you are also carrying the expectations of our people. Let your conduct reflect the values of patience, empathy, and brotherhood that define the Hajj,” he added.

Commending the efforts of the state officials, Governor Adeleke praised their dedication in ensuring a smooth and well-organized pilgrimage.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to the Muslim community, announcing near completion of the state Hajj Camp and the approval for a mosque at the Government House.

The Governor prayed for the pilgrims’ safety and spiritual success, asking for divine blessings upon their journey and safe return. “We look forward to welcoming you home, enriched by your experience and guided by the light of your prayers.”
