Clerics have been advised not to use their positions in the church to oppress their members.
Evangelist Mathew Sotinoye said this during the ordination of Assistant Director, Programmes, FRCN, Ibadan, Mrs Remi Omolola and her husband, Mr Femi Omolola at the Celestial Church of Christ, Oladunni Parish, Ehin Grammar, Molete, Ibadan.
Evangelist Sotinoye said many ministers of God have abused their positions, which contributed to their downfall.
He pointed out that the ordination of the couple was a testimony of their dutifulness, spirituality and dedication to the church.
Performing the ordination, the Venerable Superior Evangelist Prophet Simple Precious who anointed the couple, prayed that they would never have reasons to discard their robes.
Mrs Omolola was ordained as Mother in Celestial, while Mr Omolola was ordained as a Senior Evangelist.
High points of the ordination were the dressing of Mrs Omolola with a pink cape and Mr. Omolola with a new robe and blue garment.
