The National Orientation Agency, NOA, says the creation of Zonal Directorates across the six geo-political zones of the country will deepen its outreach and enhance strategic communication of the government’s programmes and activities to the people.

The Zonal Director, South West Zone of the Agency, Mrs Olufunke Salako, who announced this to journalists in Abeokuta, said the move would further promote national values and foster development at the grassroots level.

Mrs Salako said Ogun State had been selected as the Headquarters for the South West Zonal Directorate and the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun had approved an office for the zone at the South West Resource Centre, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

She applauded the Director-General of the NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa – Onilu for promoting innovative policies and programmes to enhance the Agency’s service delivery to the people, noting that the new zonal office in Abeokuta would partner with the relevant stakeholders and explore new collaborations for effective performance.

The NOA Zonal Director also solicited the support of media organisations towards meeting the agency’s objectives of strategically communicating the activities of the federal, state and local governments to the people across the south west region.
