Ondo State House of Assembly has appointed Mr Ololade Gbegudu representing Okitipupa constituency 2, as the new Deputy Speaker.
This followed the resignation of the former Deputy Speaker, Prince Abayomi Akinruntan.
In the resignation letter addressed to speaker and read at plenary, Prince Akinruntan said he took the decision in order to align with the power sharing formula in the state.
The House also appointed Mr Olatunji Oshati, member representing Ose constituency as the House Majority Leader to replace Mr Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi representing Owo constituency 1 who had been occupying that position since the 9th assembly.

Addressing the parliament the new Deputy Speaker , Mr Gbegudu appreciated members for the confidence reposed in him and promised to carry out his duties to bring dividends of democracy to the people of Ondo State.
In an address , the Speaker, Mr Olamide Oladiji congratulated the new appointees and charged them to bring in their vast experiences in piloting the affairs of the parliament.
