A Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Buhari Abdulfatai has extended Eid-el-Kabir greetings to people of Oyo North Senatorial District, Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
In a statement,Senator Buhari felicitated with Muslims in the district, praying for acceptance of their sacrifices and prayers during the holy month of Dhul-Hijjah.
He urged Muslims to emulate the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son Ismail (AS), who demonstrated unwavering faith and obedience to Allah’s will.
Senator Buhari also called on the people to continue to pray for peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria.
He reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Oyo North, Oyo State and Nigeria at large praying for a prosperous and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In thesame vein, Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has extended warm greetings to Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el-Adha, urging them to embrace the festival’s deeper message of sacrifice, compassion and national unity.
This is contained in a statement issued by his media office and made available to newsmen on Friday in Ibadan.
Senator Alli called on Nigerians to reflect on the timeless values demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS), especially as the nation navigates through economic and social challenges.
He said that Eid-el-Adha goes beyond ritual sacrifices, stressing the need to uplift the less privileged, support one another, and rekindle a sense of patriotism and shared responsibility among citizens.
The lawmaker said that while insecurity and economic hardship test the nation’s resolve, Nigerians must unite across religious and ethnic lines to build a better future.
“Let’s all see the country’s diversity as a strength to be harnessed for unity and prosperous future,” he said.
Senator Alli reaffirmed his commitment to promoting equity, economic growth and peaceful coexistence through legislative advocacy.
He prayed that Almighty Allah accept the sacrifices of the faithfuls and grant the nation lasting peace and prosperity.
