Fulani Advocates Proper Training of Male Child

By Kayode Animasaun

The General Manager of Positive FM, Akure, Mr. Olufemi Fulani, has stressed the urgent need for Nigerian society to pay as much attention to the training of the male child as it does to the female.

Mr. Fulani gave the advice while receiving members of Lajna Imaillah Nigeria, the female wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat who paid him a courtesy visit as part of preparations for their annual convention holding in Ikare, Akoko, Ondo State.

According to him, while enormous emphasis is placed on grooming young girls to be morally upright, disciplined, and well-mannered, the same attention is often not extended to boys.

He noted that mothers, women’s groups, and religious organizations have made laudable contributions to female education and moral development, but insisted that equal structures must be in place for young boys.

The General Manager commended the Ahmadiyya women for their commitment to religious education, moral training, and empowerment of women, describing their role as pivotal to nation-building.

He, however, appealed to faith-based groups and community leaders to extend similar energy to the male child, in order to stem the tide of moral decadence among youths.

Earlier in her remarks, the National President of Lajna Imaillah, Hajia Taufiqah Fagbolade, explained that their annual convention seeks to educate women spiritually, morally, and economically while instilling obedience to God and positive values in younger generations.
