One of the operational pick-up trucks of the Western Nigeria Security Network, code-named Amotekun Corps, was engulfed by fire at Mokola roundabout area of Ibadan.
According to an eyewitness account, the vehicle, which was without a number plate, had Amotekun personnel onboard when the incident happened.
Narrating their accounts, three eyewitnesses, Mr Simon Okorona, Mr Adigun Oluwasegun and Mrs Fatimo Eniola, said the driver and personnel onboard the vehicle were unaware of the fire until they were alerted.
Radio Nigeria correspondents who visited the scene of the incident report that the cause of the fire was unknown, while attempts to speak with the personnel were futile as they declined comments.
Efforts to reach the Oyo State commandant of the Amotekun corps, was unsuccessful.
Our correspondent reports that the incident caused gridlock around the Mokola roundabout area of Ibadan.
