The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has reassured residents that the state is firmly on the path of transformation as his administration marks its third anniversary.

‎In a statewide broadcast, Governor Adeleke expressed appreciation to the people of Osun for their unwavering support since he assumed office in 2022.

‎He recalled the poor state of governance he inherited, including unpaid pensions, dilapidated infrastructure, poor examination performance, weak health services and widespread corruption across sectors.

‎Reviewing progress three years later, the Governor declared that Osun has become a national reference point in good governance, citing major improvements in water supply, education, health, public service, land administration, agriculture, and digital innovation.

‎Governor Adeleke highlighted sweeping reforms in the public service, noting that his administration has paid nearly ₦100 billion inherited pension and salary arrears.

‎He also pointed to the adoption of international accounting standards, stronger audit systems, and cash-backed promotions as measures that have restored integrity and improved workers’ morale.

‎In the education sector, he said Osun has risen from 33rd to 7th position nationally in WAEC and NECO rankings, following massive school rehabilitation and investments in teacher welfare and university infrastructure.

‎Speaking on empowerment and economic growth, Governor Adeleke said close to ₦2 billion has been disbursed to cooperative societies across the state, while women and youth are benefitting from the Imole Business Empowerment Scheme.

‎Governor Adeleke concluded by emphasizing his administration’s aggressive infrastructure push, noting that Osun’s infrastructure deficit has been reduced by more than 50 percent within three years with over 255 kilometres of roads completed, while 160 kilometres are ongoing, alongside major projects such as the Ilesa dualization, Ife flyover, and Lameco flyover

‎He assured residents that his government remains committed to delivering inclusive growth, transparency, and lasting development across the state.
