OGHA Screens New Local Government Auditor-General

Ogun State House of Assembly has screened Mr. Abdul-Najim Olayinka, the nominee of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for the post of Auditor-General for Local Governments.

The lawmakers, who took turns to applaud the Governor, described Mr Olayinka as a thorough bred professional

who had distinguished himself in all the positions he had occupied.

While presiding over the screening at the Assembly Complex,  Oke-Mosan,  Abeokuta, the Speaker, Mr Oludaisi Elemide charged the nominee to ensure that his tenure was marked with positive change,  integrity, transparency, and accountability if confirmed.

Responding, the Nominee thanked the Governor for the confidence reposed in him and promised to run an inclusive management team with strong mechanisms for accountability and transparency.

Mr Olayinka, a native of Sagamu Local Government Area, and a graduate of accounting from the Olabisi Onabanjo University, trained as an auditor, who was until his nomination, the Head of Operations at the OG-CARES Livelihood Support Unit under the Ministry of Finance.
