The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of the Chairman of the Osun State Board for Vocational and Technical Education, Alhaji Fatai Diekola, describing the death of the prominent political figure as a collosal loss.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke highlighted that the Osogbo-born politician dedicated his life to fighting injustice and serving as a source of strength for the vulnerable.
The governor extended heartfelt condolences to Diekola’s immediate family, political associates, and the people of Osogbo, noting that the Imole Movement has lost a strong pillar of support.
“Alhaji Diekola was my major political ally and facilitators, a man who mobilised and broke walls of political resistance. We were in the trenches together to enthrone this people’s government. He always insisted we must serve no other interests except the aspirations of Osun people”.
Governor Adeleke prayed to Almighty Allah to repose Diekola’s soul and grant his family, kin, associates, and everyone affected by his passing the strength to bear the loss. He added that Diekola’s good works will endure, and the memory of his impact will be felt for generations.
