Nigerian Army Sues for Objective Coverage Of Military Activities

The General Officer Commanding, GOC, of the Nigerian army 2 division, Major General Chinedu Nnebeife has reiterated the commitment of the Nigerian army towards sustaining its collaboration with other security sister agencies to rid the southwest states of drug abuse and crimes.

Major General Nnebeife made this known at a news briefing held at Adekunle Fajuyi cantonment, odogbo barrack Ibadan, Oyo State.

The GOC explained that the joint efforts of all the security agencies had reduced crimes in the region with a promise to intensify efforts at bringing it to the barest minimum.

Speaking on the recent attack on Eruku Community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, Major General Nnebeife said residents of the community have since returned to their homes, while the abducted had also been released.

The 2 division GOC further cautioned the public against spreading false reports so as not to put fear in the minds of other Nigerians especially those in the diaspora.

While commending journalists for disseminating activities of the Nigerian Army, Major General Nnebeife urged them to be objective in their reportage, urging them to always verify stories before publication.
