So-Safe Corps Arrests Suspected Cult Member in Ogun

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, also known as So-Safe Corps, has arrested a 25 year old suspected cult member, Abiola Sunday in Ogbo, Ijagun area of the state.

The State Commander of the Corps, Dr. Soji Ganzallo confirmed the arrest of the suspect in a statement in Abeokuta through the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistance Commander Adegunwa Adegbuyi.

According to the So-safe Commander, the suspect, a resident of Imosan, was apprehended after months of surveillance following his earlier escape from arrest over alleged cult-related activities.

Dr. Ganzallo explained that operatives acted on credible intelligence at half past one in the afternoon on January fifteenth, 2026, leading to the arrest of the suspect at Ifesowapo Community by officers from the Leguru Area Command.

The Corps Commander described Abiola Sunday, a former student of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education, Ijagun, as a known member of the Aiye Confraternity, who had allegedly terrorised residents and visitors within the Ogbo, Ijagun community.

He added that the suspect had been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force at the Igbeba Area Command in Ijebu-Ode for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Dr Ganzallo reassured residents of Ogun State of the Corps’ continued commitment to the protection of lives and property, in collaboration with other security agencies.
